Oak Ridge controlled the game, but Ponderosa won it, 1-0, as the Lady Trojans' season ended Wednesday in the Sac-Joaquin Section semifinals.
Ponderosa's Adria Trgovcich scored the game's only goal in the 30th minute of the first half, on a 35-yard shot which Trojan keeper Danielle Murphy couldn't handle. Murphy looked as though she had it, but the shot came down from high in the air, bounced off her hands, the crossbar and into the goal.
The Trojans completely controlled the first half, but got nothing for it, while the Bruins capitalized on their only opportunity.
"We dominated the game, but didn't win it and that's happened to us a lot this year," Oak Ridge coach Henry Reis said. "Finishing has been our problem all year."
