Snowline Hospice recently received an unexpected donation of a home and its contents in El Dorado Hills from Irene Clavere, a longtime Snowline Hospice Thrift Store shopper that believed in the mission of providing end of life care in the community.
“This is a first for Snowline Hospice,” said Jeff Henderson, executive director of the nonprofit. “We are grateful for the generous donation and it will make a significant difference in providing care in our community.”
The sale of the home located in El Dorado Hills and its contents are expected to bring in more than $350,000.
The four Snowline Hospice Thrift Stores are organizing an estate sale that will be held at the Folsom store at 616 Bidwell St. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 7.
All of the funds generated through the sale will help provide end of life care in El Dorado County and Folsom.
“It is a neat story,” said Ravel Buckley, Placerville thrift store manager. “One of our shoppers cared enough about our cause to leave us such a generous gift. We are so grateful for community support and this is the pinnacle, when someone cares enough to give so generously.”
For more information about the estate sale please call the Folsom Thrift Store at (916) 984-5853.
