An exciting event is taking place this Saturday that you won't want to miss. Organizers of the Loomis Basin Holiday Home Tour are busily working to make this 1st annual event a huge success, and success means more educational opportunities for the children in the Loomis Union School District.

Sponsored by the Loomis Basin Education Foundation, the home tour is hoping to raise money to be awarded in grants to teachers, parents and community groups to support new learning opportunities. Last year, the Foundation raised $11,000 in the MandaRun, a 5K & 10K race. This year, the Foundation has added the home tour to it's fundraising efforts to benefit even more kids in the district.

To take advantage of discounted ticket price of $25, tickets may be purchased on-line at www.lbef.net, The Blue Goose Produce, The Flower Farm Nursery, The Loomis Chamber of Commerce, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Roseville, Pottery World in Rocklin, Newcastle Produce, Eisley's Nursery and the Christmas Village in Auburn. Tickets may be purchased on the day of the event for $30 at the Loomis Train Depot located near the intersection of Horsehoe Bar and Taylor Roads in Loomis, or the Flower Farm Nursery located at the intersection of Auburn-Folsom Road and Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis between 9:00 a.m.-2:00p.m.

The Holiday Home Tour will take place on Saturday December 6 from 9:00a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and will feature seven homes in the Loomis Basin beautifully decorated for the holidays.
