Pigeon Point lies halfway between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz. While waiting for the annual lighting of the lens, I caught this sunset.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures Canyonhiker! Some of my favorite childhood memories are of times spent at Pideon Point.
That's a very beautiful sunset image.
Pidgeon Point has a hostel. It's inexpensive and we stay there once a year. The restaurant across the street is fantastic and I have sat in with some of the blues performers that visit.
