EL DORADO HILLS, CA - Longtime aerobics instructor Tami Springs is also a wife, and mother of 12-year-old twins, Blake and Rachel. After getting her degree in organizational communications, she worked in pharmaceutical and biotech sales until the birth of her children. In 2005 she opened Studio T Boutique on her property in El Dorado Hills, where she sells contemporary women?s fashions. For more information on the shop, visit or call her at (916) 798-1316. What does your shop specialize in? It?s comfortable, cutting edge fashion serving to inspire the fashionista in each of us. It?s small and I like this because I can be present and engaged, and spend one on one time. I can get to know my customers, their needs, and help them find something appropriate for whatever the occasion. What is your usual clientele? Women, attractive and youthful in spirit. Energetic women who are looking for unique and flattering outfits, something they can?t find everywhere else. Ages range from high school to young grandmas. What is your fashion philosophy? I like stylish and comfortable coordinates that are flattering. Beautiful clothes for happy people. I love accessories, belts, bracelets, rings, etc. What can customers find at your shop that they won?t find elsewhere? I think the personalized attention, and I try to keep getting new things all the time. I also carry high end workout/yoga apparel. You also teach aerobics? I?ve been teaching for 29 years, all through high school and college. This is fun for me. I teach at El Dorado Hills Sports Club, and at Broadstone Raquet Club. I teach 18 group classes a month, most of them a boot camp style, weight training and cardio intermixed with weights. How long have you lived in El Dorado Hills, and what do you like best about it? We?ve been here almost 16 years. I like the people. It?s clean. I like the location because we can zip up to Tahoe. Was it a big change when you went from being a full time salesperson to being a stay-at-home mom? It was intense, those early years. It was great ? joyful, exhausting, all of that. I think a lot of women who go from having a career to being a stay-at-home mom, it?s a big adjustment. You can get lonely, and not feel connected. It?s nice to have something for yourself so you can reconnect with other people. What are some of your favorite movies? ?Jerry McGuire.? Love it! I?ve always been in sales and this movie made me smile. ?The Firm? and ?The Fugitive? are other favorites. I like action and suspense. What are your favorite El Dorado Hills hangouts? We love to go to Sky Sushi, that?s my son?s favorite. Sienna is a beautiful restaurant, so I like to go there, and sometimes we go to the Relish Burger Bar and sit outside. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? What would you do there? I?ve never been to Italy. I would visit Venice, Florence, Milan, Tuscany ? eat and drink. This would be great! If you could have your dream job, what would that be? Really, this is my dream job right now because I can be a mom and a business woman at the same time. It?s hard for me to think in 10 years when they?re gone. Right now, the season of life I?m in, the kids the age they are, this is the ideal job for me. * * * Studio T Boutique Phone: (916) 798-1316 Website:
