Oak Ridge High’s tennis team opened Delta River League play Tuesday with a 7-2 win over Ponderosa. While Ponderosa won the No. 1 singles match, the Trojans had too much depth, winning four of the six singles matches and all three doubles matches. Nic Atkinson and Jacob Zetlin picked up wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, Atkinson winning 7-5, 6-3 and Zetlin coming away with a 6-1, 6-4 victory. Charlie Conarro and Matt Fergerson won matches at No. 5 and 6 singles, 6-3, 6-2 and 6-2 and 6-1, respectively. Matthew Lai and Scotty Lee won at No. 1 doubles, 6-2, 6-1, while Austin Mitchell and Sangsoo Kim earned a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 2. Max He and Mitchell Jensen were victorious at No. 3 doubles, 6-3, 6-1.
