Sacramento Ballet dances into Folsom

-A +A
The Sacramento Ballet will perform a dramatic piece in their annual “Modern Masters” program in Folsom. The program will include the world premiere by New York choreographer Darrell Grand Moultrie on March 29-31 at Three Stages at Folsom Lake College. Moultrie, a Julliard graduate, is fast emerging as one of America’s most sought-after choreographers, according to organizers. “Three Stages ... was chosen ... specifically because it combines excellent technical facilities with a truly intimate performance space,” said Sacramento Ballet Artistic Director Ron Cunningham. “The new choreography will be shown off to excellent effect in a theater of this size, and the acoustics will be perfect for the great live music accompaniment.” Performances are scheduled at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 29-31, with a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee. Tickets are $45 at the Three Stages box office, (916) 608-6888, or threestages.net. For more information about the ballet, visit sacballet.org. ~ Staff report
