A small plane made an emergency landing on Highway 50 in El Dorado Hills Saturday. California Highway Patrol spokesman Michael Bradley said the plane with one occupant landed on the highway just after 11 a.m. It reportedly clipped a car as it was landing, but no one was injured, including the pilot, whose name was not immediately available. The plane reportedly lost power shortly after takeoff from nearby Cameron Park airport. No flight plan was available. Westbound lanes of Highway 50 were closed briefly in the area of the El Dorado Hills Blvd. offramp, but all lanes of traffic were opened shortly after noon.
