Olympic Development Program identifies El Dorado United soccer players

Ayden Burnett, Jackson Contreras, Garry Valadez and Riley Terando of the El Dorado United Soccer Club have been selected to from the State Olympic Development Program 2012 pool of players to travel to Phoenix, Ariz. to compete in the Region IV Soccer Championships. Burnett, Contreras, Valadez and Terando were selected to make the team as four of hundreds of players from District VI to try out for the team, starting back last spring when the group got together at Cherry Island. The Olympic Development Program is a national identification and development program for high-level soccer players. The program identifies and develops players throughout the country to represent their state associations, regions and the United States in soccer competition. Noah Sonenstein and Connor Velcelean of the United made the District VI ODP and the State ODP 2012 pool of players, while Julian Garcia, Joey Scotti and Nico Carpignano made the District VI ODP and were selected to try out for State ODP.
