Oak Ridge Peewees Jr. Trojans 38, Ponderosa 0 After a sluggish and scoreless first quarter, the Oak Ridge Jr. Trojan Peewee squad sprang to life, relying on a big-play offense and a 22-point second quarter to sprint past the Ponderosa Jr. Bruins on Saturday at Oak Ridge High School. For the second straight week, the Trojans gained more than 200 yards on the ground, and were supported by a stubborn pass and run defense to out-match their opponent. Julian Dardano led the Trojan running game against Ponderosa with 126 yards on nine carries, and Tanner Beasy gained 57 on three carries behind sturdy Oak Ridge line play, while Jack Slaughter added 40 yards. Slaughter scored on a pair of touchdown runs, while Beasy, Sam Sanders and Dardano also scored on runs. Beasy kicked four point-after-touchdown conversions. The stout Trojan defense allowed Ponderosa to gain just 21 total yards on the day. Noah Jenkins, Jackson Redhair, Jack Topping, EJ Delwiche, Ethan Peters, Chase Wessling, Kase Loso, Peter Cotsirilos, Jake Dyer, Sawyer Merrill and Colby Anderson led the defensive shut-out effort. Dean Brower, Hunter Dempsey, Shane Semeit, Matt Murphy, Cole Ramsey, Tyler Jeppesen, Bryce Kimball and Grayson Maris paced the offense.
