Oak Ridge Jr. Trojans Peewees Jr. Trojans 42, Whitney 0 The Trojans took the opening kickoff and drove the ball 60 yards for a touchdown and never looked back. The Trojans (5-0) once again relied on a stout defensive effort, limiting the Wildcats to seven total yards, while the Oak Ridge offense controlled the ball throughout the game, gaining 171 yards on just 22 offensive plays. Haiden Kusserow scored the game’s first touchdown, plunging through the middle for a 12-yard touchdown run. Julian Dardano followed with 5-yard run for touchdown around right end, and Tanner Beasy added a 30-yard run for score. An 8-yard touchdown pass from EJ Delwiche to Jack Slaughter rounded out the first-half scoring. The Trojans scored again in the third quarter on a safety when Jack Topping and Trevor Barbosa smothered the punter after an errant snap. Beasy completed the day’s scoring after taking the ensuing kickoff back 48-yards for paydirt. Beasy converted all five two-point conversions to complete the Trojan’s 42-point scoring effort. The Oak Ridge offensive line dominated the Wildcat defense throughout the day. Shane Semeit, Dean Brower, Jackson Redhair, Hunter Dempsey, Matt Murphy, Jake Dyer and Jalen Mitchell once again paced the gritty effort. Tyler Jeppesen, Grayson Maris, Mason Bennion and Bryce Kimball added solid end play. Noah Jenkins, Jackson Smith, Kase Loso, Peter Cotsirilos, Nate Kettering, Cole Ramsey, Evan Miranda, Nicholas Norton, Chase Wessling, Ethan Peters, Beasy, Slaughter and Colby Anderson led the way on defense. The Peewee Trojans host Natomas at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
