PORTLAND, Ore. - Freshman women's basketball player Kristina Williams was named Northwest Conference Player of the Week after guiding the Pioneers to a 2-1 record in four days. The 5-9 guard graduated from Oak Ridge High last spring. Williams continues to be the Pioneers go-to player, putting up double figures in scoring every game this season. She is currently shooting .857 from the charity stripe, while finishing the week 21-24 from the free-throw line. Following this weekend she is solidly one of the NWC's top-three scoring leaders, averaging 18.3 points a game. She also ranked fourth in the conference in free-throw shooting percentage, while sitting tied-fourth in conference in steals with teammate Christina Herring (2.38 Avg/G).
