Coming off a thrilling 39-38 win over Folsom Friday, Oak Ridge High’s varsity boys’ basketball team has some big games coming up this week as the regular season comes to an end.

The Trojans (4-3, in league, 14-10 overall) play host to Jesuit (2-5 in league, 11-13 overall) Wednesday and Sheldon (7-0 in league, 18-4 overall) Friday before finishing the season on the road at Ponderosa (0-7 in league, 8-16 overall) Feb. 12.

Oak Ridge defeated Jesuit Jan. 16, 51-37 and two days later dropped a 57-39 decision to Sheldon, both games being played on the road. The Trojans played top-ranked Sheldon tough, as the game was tied at halftime before the Huskies pulled away in the third quarter.

“We played pretty well against Jesuit the first time, but we’ve got to shoot the ball a little bit better,” Oak Ridge coach Steve Scott said. “We’ve got attack the basket and finish. With Sheldon we have to keep them from getting to the rim and rebound the basketball. We’ve got our work cut out for us.”
