I would like to challenge the article that was written by Ashley Whittingham (Telegraph, Aug. 31) regarding trail etiquette for the City of Folsom.
I have been a walker, runner, bike rider, hiker and in all my 40 years on the trails the rule (etiquette) has always been to stay to the right.
The common courtesy of a bike rider who is sharing the trail in the same lane, when approaching a person(s) should always warn that person(s) they are to the left of them on the trail.
Who decided to change the rules (etiquette) that I and many others have been accustom to for many years?
Please respond before ruining the trails with painted markings.
Debbie Rabourn, Folsom
