Lawyer, husband, father, brother and community volunteer are just a few words that sum up Joe Hoffman. Hoffman recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of his Folsom law office, Hoffman and Hoffman, that he runs with his wife, Sheri. “We are currently becoming a full-service law office for all individual needs from divorce to bankruptcy. We handle everything,” Hoffman said. “There is nothing (in Folsom) like it and Folsom needs it.” Hoffman met his wife in their second year at Golden Gate University School of Law. In 1994, they moved to Folsom to be near his family, and opened the Law offices of Hoffman and Hoffman in 1995 before marrying the next year. “It was never a doubt to me to open the practice,” he said. “The only decision was location.” They have two children, Kristen, 10 and Jake, 8. The family moved to El Dorado Hills in 2005. Hoffman currently spends his time outside of work, coaching his daughter’s select soccer team and his son’s basketball team. Where is the rest of his free time spent? He said, his community. “Before kids and sports, we (Hoffman and his wife) were very active in Folsom with our business and with volunteering,” Hoffman said. Hoffman is an active member of the Folsom Rotary Club, and has previously served on the Architectural Review Board and the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Hoffman and his brother Bob Hoffman, were named to the Folsom Chamber of Commerce Wall of Fame in 2005 for their work on events including the Folsom Biz Expo and Folsom Rodeo. Sheri is a current member and past chairperson of the Mercy Hospital of Folsom Community Council. She has served as both a member and chairperson of the Folsom Parks and Recreation, on the advisory board of the Regent at Willow Creek, the Board for Warmline Family Resource Center and the Board of the Foothill Leads Club. Still, the couple finds time to practice law in Folsom. To celebrate 15 years of service, they moved their law office from Natoma Street to 2600 East Bidwell St., Suite 240 in Folsom. “It’s an exciting time to be in growth, especially in this economy,” Hoffman said.
