Ice skating rink to open Wednesday

Delays plague community project
Folsom's first ice skating rink has hit another snag. Originally scheduled to open on Friday, Nov. 21, the opening date has been changed twice, according to organizers. Now, the rink won't open until Wednesday, according to Jolaine Collins of Collins Communications. "Due to technical difficulties, the Historic Sutter Street Ice Rink opening has been changed to Wednesday, Nov. 26," she said. "We are still planning opening ceremonies with local dignitaries who will christen the rink with a Zamboni during a ribbon-cutting ceremony 9 a.m. Wednesday. They'll be joined by the cast of 'Holiday in the Hills,' competitive skaters and local children trying out their skating legs." See the Telegraph's print edition for details on admission charges and hours of operation (under "Things to do" on the front page) on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
