Holiday menus served up at Folsom, El Dorado Hills area restaurants
The weather has changed and so have the menus at a few local eateries.
The Lake Natoma Inn’s Natoma Bar and Grill, on Gold Lake Drive in Folsom, has a new holiday menu for those looking to book their seasonal parties.
“We do a lot of holiday parties from Thanksgiving through Christmas,” said Patricia Kunz, director of sales at the Inn. “We focus the holiday menu for those that want to book holiday parties with us, book parties from 20 to 250 people.”
The 2012 holiday menu features a medley of winter vegetables, house-made macaroni and cheese and several entrees including chicken cordon bleu with a creamy brie cheese cause, baked salmon with a Mandarin orange sauce and a roasted pork loin with a blackberry glaze.
Kunz said dates are filling up but there is still time to book your holiday party.

For those that don’t feel like spending hours in the kitchen preparing the Thanksgiving meal, complete with all the trimmings, there is an option.
You can pre-order your full meal, or even just a few sides or appetizers, from Selland’s Market Café in El Dorado Hills’ Town Center.
Riane Munoz, the catering specialist for the popular eatery, said the staff at Selland’s will prepare a complete traditional turkey dinner with all the “comfort food” trimmings.
“We try to make it a no-work meal for our guests,” Munoz said. “We take care of everything.”
The meals are prepared cold and when it’s time all the customer has to do is heat up the fixings and serve.
“Everything is made by our own personal chefs,” Munoz said
The menu covers all the bases including a boneless turkey breast, sourdough stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy.
Starters are also available and include crab and artichoke dip, baked brie, vegetarian stuffed mushroom or sausage stuffed mushrooms.
For those that aren’t looking to have the entire meal pre-made there is an option to build your own menu or pick and choose what items you would like.
“If you just need a side, you can place an order for that,” Munoz said.
The desserts are not to be missed.
“We have amazing desserts,” she said.
Offerings include traditional pumpkin pie, apple pie, Thanksgiving frosted shortbread cookies and pumpkin cheesecake with ginger snap cookie crust.
Orders must be placed by Nov. 18 and picked up prior to Thanksgiving.

The Back Wine Bar in Folsom has also rolled out a new menu for fall.
House made bruschetta, mini pizzas are some of the small plates and starters offered and entrees include house made fettuccini with sautéed fall vegetables, tarragon and white wine cream sauce.
The Catalan Seafood Stew is a Spanish style seafood stew with manila clams, halibut, prawns and house made chorizo sautéed with fingerling potatoes.
