Seniors activist Ramona Gilmore's death has the local community arranging schedules to attend her memorial services Wednesday. "In the past several days we received many phone and e-mail inquires about when memorial services will be held for Moni Gilmore," said Wayne Lowery, general manager of the El Dorado Hills Community Services District. "We received word that they are scheduled for 10 a.m. (Wednesday) at Green Valley Mortuary." The address of the mortuary is 3004 Alexandrite Drive, Rescue. Gilmore was found dead in her El Dorado Hills home April 16 of a suspected heart attack. Gilmore's death also leaves the future uncertain for her now-vacant seat on the governing board of the El Dorado Hills Fire Department. The seat probably will not be permanently filled until a general election in November, said Fire Chief Brian Veerkamp. "The board will hold a special meeting to discuss replacement," Veerkamp said. "I believe we will look for appointing an interim member until the general election in November." The special meeting of the fire-department governing board also will be held Wednesday, at 4 p.m., in the department's main office, 1050 Wilson Blvd., El Dorado Hills.
