Getting to know ... Tori Trylovich

Oak Ridge freshman Tori Trylovich has burst onto the high school tennis scene. The 14-year-old has posted an 11-2 record and is undefeated in league play. Here are some more facts about her. What is your best tennis stroke? Forehand or volleys Do you have any pre-match rituals? "Weiner man" It’s an Oak Ridge tennis team tradition song. Do you have any superstitions? Yes. If I’m using two tennis balls and I lose a point with one of them, I will not use that same ball the next point because I think it is bad luck. What is on your iPod? Paramore, techno!, Owl City, Metro Station ect ... all different types of music, it just depends on the mood I’m in of what I will listen to. What is your favorite food? Pasta... Italian food and bread! I love food. What is your favorite class in school? Either Spanish or science, but only because of the people in those classes. Who is your favorite professional tennis player? Rafael Nadal What are your future goals? To get a scholarship for college tennis. What do you want to do for a profession? I’m not sure yet, but I think it would be cool to be a defense attorney. What is your favorite TV show? 90210 and Gossip Girl What candy are you looking forward to eat for Halloween? Laffy Taffy Besides tennis, what other hobbies do you have or what do you like to do in your spare time? Hang out with friends and go to our school’s football games. Your sister Dee Dee played tennis at Oak Ridge a few years back, what's the best advice she's ever given you? To make sure to listen to the coach and always try my hardest.
