The Folsom Lake College women’s golf team had a rough time trying to solve Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin at Tuesday’s Big 8 Tournament No. 2. At the end of the day, it appeared that the course had won this time as the Falcons shot a team score of 480, finishing in seventh place out of the eight teams. Sacramento City won their second consecutive match with a team score of 361. The Whitney Oaks course seemed to affect all teams, as scores were generally 60-80 shots higher (per team) than last week at Empire Ranch. Janet Jones, who shot an 88, led the Falcons with an 88, followed by Sara Gulden, who came in with a 104. Kayla Sandhagen (127) and Jessica Mendoza (161) rounded out the team. The Falcons’ next match is Tuesday at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course.
