EL DORADO HILLS, CA - The 10th annual El Dorado Hills Art and Wine Affaire will be held Mother’s Day Weekend, May 11-12, in the Town Center, El Dorado Hills.
Located in the gateway to the El Dorado County Wine country, the event will feature 20 county wineries for tastings throughout the weekend and live entertainment will be featured both days along the Town Center lakeside amphitheater.
Presented by the El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce, the El Dorado Hills Optimist Club and the El Dorado Arts Council, the event will also include more than 100 artists to display their work.
Last year’s event had attendance well over 16,000 during the two-day event.
Live entertainment includes dance performances at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by “Rick Estrin and The Nightcats” at 2 p.m. On Sunday, event goers can check out “Over The Edge” perfrom at 11 a.m., followed by an afternoon of classic/modern rock and pop with “Apple Z” at 2 p.m.
The event is free with wine tasting for those 21 and older, offered for $25 per person each day. The event runs from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. both days, with wine tasting from noon-4:30 p.m.
According to event organizers, substantial funding will extend the reach of this event throughout the Northern California region to help drive cultural tourism.
Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Arts in Education Programs of the El Dorado Arts Council, the Friends of Youth programs of the El Dorado Hills Optimist Club and the El Dorado Hills community outreach programs of the El Dorado Hills Chamber of Commerce, organizers said.
