Pool play is under way for the California District 54 Little League All Star Tournaments. Four levels of All-Star teams representing El Dorado Hills took various fields beginning June 25. In the 9-10 year old division at Jeff Mitchell Field in El Dorado Hills, Coach Chris Hansen’s squad went undefeated in its first three games. EDH sandwiched a pair of 21-run outbursts around a 9-5 victory over Roseville West on June 27. In the Saturday game against the Gold Rush, Nathan Addelman went 4-5 with three doubles to provide an offensive punch. Peter Hansen threw four innings of one-run ball against Roseville West and Nathan Hansen went 2-4 with a grand slam against Snowline on June 29. The EDH Major All Stars (12-year old division) suffered a pair of losses in pool play early in the week. Coach Jason Standley’s team will have to bounce back from a Saturday loss to Folsom American, 4-1, as well as a 14-2 Sunday defeat at the hands of Woodcreek at Fiest Field in Granite Bay. Lembi Field played host to the Junior level All Stars as Coach Brad Scott’s EDH team beat Ponderosa, 10-2 as Tyson Solis, Joel Gilger, Bryce Brookshire and Matt Addelman all combined to throw a no-hitter. Tuesday’s game scheduled against Folsom American was postponed until July 1 due to rain. The El Dorado Hills teams finished pool play over the holiday weekend and the remaining teams began tournament play on July 5. For more information and results, visit
