Builder in El Dorado Hills seeks coat donations for needy children
EL DORADO HILLS, CA – The homebuilders at Blackstone El Dorado are inviting the local community to "Share the Warmth" during this year’s Winter Coat Drive -- “Coats for Kids,” taking place right now at the Blackstone masterplanned community in El Dorado Hills.
Three neighborhoods at Blackstone are serving as drop off locations this year – Shenandoah by Lennar, Sagewood by Standard Pacific Homes and Pinnacle by Taylor Morrison. The public can donate a coat between now and Dec. 15th and become eligible for one of two $250 gift cards.
Plus, for every donation brought in to any of the three locations Dec. 3-9, Blackstone El Dorado will match coat-for-coat.
Sponsored by ABC News10, Coats for Kids has helped more than a half million families stay warm during the cold winter season. This year, with the help of the Salvation Army, Swansons Cleaners and Tri Counties Bank, they hope to collect more than 20,000 coats for struggling families.
“Blackstone and its builders recognize that its commitment to community consists far more than building quality homes for homebuyers,” said Laura Kilgore, director of marketing for Blackstone El Dorado. “As a developer, we feel honored to be able to give back to the community through organizations such as “Coats for Kids.”
